UAB "ALGRIMA", legal entity code 140795027, registered office address Paryžiaus Komunos g. 27, LT-91111 Klaipėda, Lithuania (hereinafter - the Company), is the owner and operator of the website and e-shop www.algrima.lt (hereinafter - Algrima).

The Company understands the importance of the protection of your personal data and respects your right to know about the processing of your personal data through Algrima.

In light of this, the Company has prepared this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy"), which explains what personal data is collected and processed when you visit Algrima and use its services, why the personal data is processed, what is done with the personal data, and other aspects of the processing of your personal data that may be relevant to you.

This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulation"), the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, and other legal acts applicable to the processing of personal data.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using Algrima.lt. By creating a user account (registering), you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information relating to an identified natural person or who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.

What is the processing of personal data?

Processing is any act or set of acts performed on personal data, such as collection, recording, accumulation, storage, modification (addition or rectification), disclosure, use, destruction or any other act or set of acts

Who processes you personal data?

Personal data is processed by the data controller. For what purposes is your personal data processed?

Personal data is processed for:

  • For the purpose of conducting e-commerce in order to conveniently conclude and properly execute contracts for the purchase of goods offered by us;
  • For the purpose of administering enquiries, in order to identify the enquirer and to respond appropriately to enquiries;
  • For the purpose of direct marketing, in order to carry out direct marketing and to provide offers to purchase the goods offered by us, to inform about discounts and to disseminate content of a similar nature;

The Company does not process personal data for any other purposes incompatible with the above purposes.

How is your personal data obtained?

Personal data is obtained in the following ways:

  • By you providing your personal data yourself. You provide your personal data when you create a user account (registration) or after creating an account, during shopping or when you submit a request to Algrima;
  • From third parties. With your consent, we receive data from the social network Facebook when you create or create an Algrima user account and link it to your Facebook account;
  • When you use Algrima.lt. When you use Algrima.lt, certain information (for example, the number of visits to Algrima.lt, the time spent on Algrima.lt, etc.) is collected automatically by means of cookies.

What are the legal grounds for processing your personal data?

Personal data may be processed on the following grounds:

  • Your consent. You choose to provide your consent when creating a user account (registration), or by submitting a request to Algrima. You can withdraw your consent by emailing us at [email protected];
  • On the basis of the conclusion and performance of contracts - personal data processed for the purpose of conducting e-commerce;
  • On the basis of the legitimate interests of the Company.

What personal data is processed and why is it needed?

How long is your personal data stored when using Algrima.lt?

Depending on the purposes of the processing of personal data, the following retention periods are established (these periods do not apply to the retention of data obtained through cookies):

Personal data shall be stored for a period of 10 (ten) calendar years from the date of your last login to your Algrima user account or the date of completion of the contract for the purchase of goods, whichever is the later..

Enquiry management.

Personal data is stored for 2 (two) calendar years from the date of submission/collection.

Direct marketing.

The personal data shall be retained until the moment of withdrawal of your consent to the performance of direct marketing and the processing of data for this purpose.

Improving e-commerce and Algrima.

Personal data is stored for 2 (two) calendar years from the date of submission/collection.

Upon expiry of the retention period, the personal data concerned shall be deleted.

Can your personal data be transferred to third parties?

Personal data may be transferred to third parties in order to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or in order for the Company to comply with the requirements of the legislation: service providers - data processors. For example, personal data may be transferred or access to personal data may be granted:

  • Courier/delivery companies that deliver goods purchased from Algrima;
  • Storage and packaging service providers who store and package goods purchased from Algrima;
  • Information technology companies providing server rental or programming services;
  • Companies providing marketing or messaging services through which you receive offers and newsletters;
  • Accounting service providers who maintain the Company's accounting records, as well as service providers who manage the accounting software used by the Company;

This list is only indicative, personal data may be transferred to other third parties who help to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, as well as who help the Company to comply with the requirements of the legislation governing its activities.

Personal data may also be transferred to public authorities and law enforcement agencies if required by law or in order to protect the legitimate interests of the Company.

We emphasise that in all cases:

  • Only the personal data necessary for the purpose of processing are transferred;
  • The aim is to ensure (through the conclusion of personal data processing contracts) that third parties have implemented organisational and technical measures to ensure security and maintain the confidentiality of personal data.

Can you object to the processing of your personal data?

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. This right enables you to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation, provided that your personal data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interests of the Company. If you object, your personal data may only be processed if the Company demonstrates that the reasons for processing your personal data override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if your personal data are necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You may exercise your right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time and without giving any reasons.

What are your rights and how are they enforced?

You have the following rights:

  • The right to receive information about the processing of personal data. This right enables you to request all information relating to the processing of your personal data. This information can be found in this Privacy Policy or by making a request to the Company electronically;
  • The right of access to the personal data processed. This right enables you to know whether your personal data is being processed, which of your personal data is being processed, the purposes for which it is being processed, etc. This right also gives you the possibility to obtain copies of your personal data processed;
  • The right to request rectification of the personal data processed. This right gives you the opportunity to have your personal data which is inaccurate, incomplete or otherwise misleading, corrected, supplemented or rectified;
  • The right to request the removal of personal data ("right to be forgotten"). This right allows you to request that your personal data be erased. You can only exercise this right if: 1) the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were processed; 2) you withdraw your consent to the processing of the data and there is no other basis for processing the data (applicable if the data are processed solely on the basis of your consent); 3) you do not consent to the processing of the data on the basis of the legitimate interests of the Company and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing of the data that are more important than your objection to the processing of the data; 4) the data are processed unlawfully; or 5) the data are subject to erasure in accordance with a statutory legal obligation imposed on the Company by legislation.
  • The right to erasure of personal data may not be exercised in the cases provided for in the Regulation and other legal acts (for example, if your personal data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims);
  • Once this right has been exercised, the Company has the right to continue to store your personal data. The Company may only process this personal data: 1) with your consent; 2) for the establishment, exercise and defence of legal claims; 3) for the protection of another natural or legal person; 4) for imperative reasons of public interest;
  • The right to portability of personal data. This right enables you to request that your personal data be provided in a structured, commonly used and computer-readable format and to request that your personal data be transferred to another data controller. You can only exercise this right where: 1) the processing is carried out with your consent or under a contract between you and the Company; and 2) the processing is carried out by automated means;
  • The right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data. This right enables you to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. You can only exercise this right where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent.

You can exercise these rights by submitting requests to [email protected]. You can also exercise your right of access to the personal data processed by using the Algrima functionality - you can download information about the orders you have made and see the personal data you have provided and stored with your account. You can also exercise your right to be forgotten by deleting your account or part of your account data from Algrima.lt.

The Company, after having read and assessed the request, will respond to your request without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receipt of the request and will provide you with information on the action taken on your request. This period may be extended by a further two months, depending on the complexity of the request and the action to be taken.

If the request is repetitive, excessive or manifestly unfounded, the Company may charge a reasonable fee for carrying out the action requested.

If the Company has doubts about your identity, the Company may ask you to confirm your identity before proceeding with the request.

A cookie is a small file that is sent to and installed on your computer or mobile phone.

We use cookies to make your use of Algrima.lt faster and more convenient. Cookies are also used for statistical purposes, to measure Algrima's traffic and the popularity of individual Algrima content and to improve Algrima's content.

Final provisions

The Company shall make proportionate and reasonable efforts, through organisational and technical measures, to keep all personal data secure.

This Privacy Policy shall be reviewed once every 2 (two) years and updated as necessary.
